Active Research Studies:
Cancer research studies, often referred to as clinical trials, are vital treatment tools in the advancement of cancer treatment and prevention. As an affiliate of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, CINJ Hamilton offers advanced Phase II and Phase III trials.
Phase II trails focus on a particular type of cancer; they test the safety of a drug and how well it works.
Phase III trials test either a new drug, a new combination of drugs or new surgical procedure in comparison to the current standard of treatment. Volunteers are assigned at random to the standard group or the new treatment group.
