Some children and teens who develop type 2 diabetes have few symptoms, which is why recognizing risk factors is very important. The following symptoms may occur in children and teens with diabetes:
- Increased thirst
- Frequent urination
- Nighttime urination or bedwetting in a previously toilet-trained child
- Increased hunger
- Blurry vision
- Fatigue
- Weight loss
- Nausea/vomiting
If your child has any of the above symptoms, notify your pediatrician immediately.
