The Auxiliary of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton (RWJ Hamilton) is an extraordinary volunteer organization that raises funds for the hospital through a variety of events and activities.

Mission
The mission of the auxiliary of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton is to continually strive to improve the quality of healthcare provided to the hospital's patients and the community through advocacy, fundraising and service. They do so while remaining ever cognizant of the changing needs of the customers and the healthcare system.

The generous support of the Auxiliary contributes to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton meeting their goal to provide Excellence Through Service.

The Auxiliary provides vital financial support to the hospital with its annual monetary gift that is raised from their various fundraisers and events throughout the year. Their support has contributed to the new contemplative Grounds for Healing® at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey on the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton campus and most recently to the new Lakefront Patient Tower.

Auxiliary Crafts Emergency Department Bears

The Auxiliary meets on the third Friday of the month for lunch to craft soft, cuddly teddy bears for patients of the Emergency Department. These bears often reduce the anxiety of a young child, the fear of a sibling or loneliness of an elderly person visiting the hospital.

Membership
The Auxiliary meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month September through June at 7:30 p.m. on the RWJ Hamilton campus. In addition to attending monthly membership meetings, members participate and support the various fundraising events and activities throughout the year. Annual dues are $12.
